Scottish and Southern Energy plc and EWS Energy sign long-term contract

EWS Energy is pleased to announce it has been awarded a new five year contract from Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE) for the delivery of coal by rail to Fiddlers Ferry power station near Warrington in Cheshire.

The contract between the parties deepens their already strong working relationship. Over the lifetime of the new contract EWS Energy will deliver thousands of coal trains to Fiddlers Ferry from the Port of Liverpool.

Paul Bates, EWS Energy Managing Director, said: “This new contract from Scottish and Southern Energy is the fifth contract EWS Energy has been awarded in recent weeks. We are pleased to develop our already strong relationship with Scottish and Southern Energy and look forward to continue being a major part of their supply chain.”
