E.ON UK awards new five year contract to EWS Energy

E.ON, one of the UK’s leading power and gas companies, has awarded EWS Energy a new contract for the supply of coal trains to power stations.

The new five year contract will see EWS Energy deliver coal by rail to E.ON UK’s power stations at Ironbridge and Ratcliffe, with significant volumes being transported on core rail routes from Liverpool and Scotland.

Paul Bates, EWS Energy Managing Director, said: “EWS Energy and E.ON UK have a very strong relationship built on an understanding of the customer’s business. I am delighted that our offer, with the right balance of reliability and flexibility, has led to this new contract. We look forward to transporting coal for E.ON and continuing to enhance our service provision for many years to come.
